Your Herbal Remedies Knowledge Can Be the Foundation
for Your Natural Healing Career
I'm always amazed at the transformation that occurs in people who take my herbal training classes. Many of the students start the herb classes with almost a total dependence on the medical profession and pharmaceutical industry for their health, which is always alarming to me, yet understandable. Our culture has become dependent on these the medical field and the pharmaceutical industry from the minute we are birthed into the world until we are on our deathbed. Many people haven't seen any alternatives to this dependency. It's quite scary to me that people put so much of their power in the hands of others with only one view and philosophy.
I teach a six-class herbal training program which gives a good foundation in various herbal remedies, herbal philosophy, and herbal resources.
Herbal Experimentation Promotes Curiosity
After the first three-hour class in herbal training, my students' curiosity is evident. "Maybe these herbs will work for my condition," they say. Since I give them herb samples to "practice" taking at home and herbal books to read, about half of them will experiment a little with them before the second class. They'll then report to the second class what occurred after using the herbs. Their excitement and passion has begun and is unstoppable!
That's when those in the rest of the class who didn't use the herb samples start to perk up. "Hmm, if it worked for her, maybe the herbs could benefit me.&$34; they say and then usually tell me their health conditions because they are afraid to take a chance. There are always a few who rightfully want to take it slow and make sure they do not make a mistake with any herb.
My herbal training program includes classes on nutritive herbs, immune system boosting herbs, herbs for the colon, herbs for the liver, herbs from the Amazon rainforest, and herbs for emergency situations, how to make herbal concoctions of all types: capsules, ointments, tinctures, lotions, sprays, compresses and other topics as needed. The students love the short herbal books and are always excited to see the new herbal samples they receive in class.
We discuss the science of how 30+ herbs work, let them taste, touch and feel different herbs, and they hear plenty of stories about how the herbs were used with my patients or on myself and what the results were. I also discuss the results of some of my clinical trials completed years ago.
Herbs are Dangerous?
Just today I received a call from a lady who had been reading about herbs on her own but had never attended an herbal training program. She mentioned that every book she read always included so many cautions about the herbs that she was afraid to use any of them. This is a shame, but it reflects the importance of attending an herbal training program from someone who is well-qualified to teach it. What is needed for maximum learning and retention is stories of miraculous turnarounds in people's health that resulted from the use of herbs. Someone who is consistently emphasizing the cautions about herbs really hasn't experienced the healing power of herbs. Don't enroll in such a program!
Each student in my herbal training program is given a binder and 15-20 pages of notes for each class, along with four to six of their own herb samples and additional short herbal books to read. I have found that in herbal training, hands-on experience is the best teacher, and it produces much greater learning about health and fitness than simple lectures. This year I will be adding CD or downloadable audios to supplement the classes.

By the third week of class, which is usually around 5 weeks into the course, the students are buzzing around the room, discussing what happened when they experimented with certain herbs the previous week, before the class starts. Eyebrows are raised at the wonderful little miracles that are reported, and a visible improvement in the appearance of their skin is apparent. The students' skin color and texture is looking rosier and healthier. They are vibrating with much more energy than before, and they are quite excited to learn the new information.
Possibility Thinking Starts
At the fourth class in herbal training the students start to realize and believe there is another method of healing that doesn't use drugs and is often just as effective at producing results with their health and fitness. Their excitement continues and now they are asking questions such as, "What do you think about this herb I was reading about? Here's what I did. How could I get faster results?"
The sixth class ends with graduation for the first module of six topics. That's when I give them a pep talk about how to use their new knowledge, how to create their own herbal formulas, how to incorporate answers from prayer into the protocols they use in the future and review what they've learned already. That's the class that they realize they have an incredible tool at their disposal that will serve them for the rest of their life.
All my students ask when the next module will start so they can learn more. Their thirst for knowledge about herbal healing from someone who has had a lot of experience in the field is unquenchable. They realize their herbal learning efforts have made a difference in their life and they now have control over some important aspects of their health and fitness. It's empowering to them and their efforts are unstoppable. Some even go on to enter into natural healing careers.
That's why I love teaching herbal training courses.
